Prince Evans’ Commercial & Property Dispute Resolution Team has over 50 years worth of collective experience in delivering high quality, professional legal services. The team has particular experience in matters relating to property, landlords and tenants, employment, professional negligence and contractual/debt matters. The team is currently comprised of three Solicitors and one Chartered Legal Executive who may work on your matter and headed by Partner, Harris Charalambous.

Harris Charalambous – Partner & Head of Commercial and Property Dispute Resolution Team

Year of Admission: 2005

Harris Charalambous, Solicitor, joined Prince Evans in 2009. Harris acts for clients in property disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, contract and debt disputes, professional negligence claims and employment disputes in the County Court, Tribunals, High Court and Court of Appeal.

Harris has a particular expertise in commercial property and real estate disputes and acted for the successful commercial property owner in the reported Court of Appeal case of Fitzkriston LLP v Panayi and others [2008] EWCA Civ 283.

Harris receives instructions from commercial and private property owners, property developers, social housing landlords, commercial and residential landlords and tenants. His work includes matters relating to recovery of rent arrears, forfeiture of commercial leases, breaches of lease covenants, actions involving commercial squatters, opposed and unopposed lease renewal proceedings under Part II of the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954, trespass, nuisance, boundary disputes, rights of way and restrictive covenants, property ownership disputes and party wall matters.

Harris is also experienced in acting for employers and employees in various employment related matters such as pursuing or defending actions for unfair dismissal, breach of contract, wrongful dismissal and discrimination before the Employment Tribunal as well as advising on and preparing settlement agreements, contracts of employment, director and service agreements, consultancy agreements and various company policies. Harris advises on the enforceability of restrictive covenants in contracts of employment and in pursuing or defending Court actions for injunctive relief in relation to breaches of restrictive covenants.

Vijay Murarji – Solicitor

Year of Admission: 2015

Vijay Murarji, Solicitor, joined Prince Evans in 2016. He has acted for clients in property disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, contractual disputes, company and shareholder disputes, debt claims and related enforcement and professional negligence.

Vijay also acts for both employers and employees in employment disputes relating to unfair dismissal wrongful dismissal and redundancy. Vijay acts in disputes relating to claims under the Equality Act and in particular sex discrimination and disability discrimination. Vijay also advises on and drafts contracts of employment and policies and has acted for numerous employees in advising on and negotiating the terms of settlement agreements.
