Practice Areas
Employment
Employment is a growth area of the Practice. We act for employees, as well as employers on all non-contentious and contentious issues. On the employer side, we assist owner-managed businesses, large multi-national companies and Registered Social Landlords.

We can help with:

  • Drafting/negotiating employment contracts and service agreements
  • Drafting/advising on employment policies and procedures, including staff handbooks
  • Equal opportunities and discrimination advice
  • Schedule 1 issues for Registered Social Landlords
  • Redundancy programmes
  • Drafting/negotiation of compromise agreements and severance packages
  • Pensions advice

Prince Evans is at the forefront of transfer of undertakings (TUPE) advice, whether staff transfer following the sale of a business, the award of a tendered contract, a stock transfer to a Registered Social Landlord and from NHS Trusts and Local Authorities following re-provisionary location projects. We advise on the consequential assumptions of employment, pension and redundancy liabilities.

The Practice keeps employer clients updated as to this ever-changing area of law, so as to keep policies and procedures compliant and avoid Employment Tribunal claims.

As to Prince Evans’ contentious practice, we have vast experience in prosecuting and defending in complex, multi-witness, unfair dismissal claims before the Employment Tribunal based on sex, race, redundancy, disability discrimination and/or by reason of TUPE.

We can assist in the enforcement of restrictive covenants and confidentiality.
